Rylinn Renaud Gets The Trifecta To Kick Off 2017

Rylinn Renaud has been on an absolute tear to begin the 2017 race season. Rylinn is now 3 for 3 in Main Event competition at the Cycleland Speedway in the Global CFS-Motorsports Financing #16 Box Stock. Jennifer Osborne started up front and actually led for much of the first part of the race before an accident in turn one ended her night early. Osborne is a driver to keep your eye on as she has really come into her own this season. Once Renaud got the lead he didn't look back as he picked up the Main Event Win by more than 2.5 seconds. Seth Standley had a great night as well as he came home in the 2nd position. It was a great rebound for the young driver after being scored last in the season opener after a penalty. Keep an eye on him as he looks to take his momentum into this weekends points race #3. Eric Botelho got his 2nd top five finish of the season as he crossed the line in the 3rd position. Bradley Pombo made his first start of the season at Cycleland and finished in the 4th position. Rounding out the top five was Kaisen Ternora who made the move up from the Beginner Box class this week, and proved that he belongs in the Box Stock Class as he was a hard charger all night long.

The night began with 16 drivers signing into the pit area. Seth Standley had an all around great night as mentioned above. He was fast time in qualifying with a lap of 12.624 seconds, than turned around and won the Trophy Dash later in the night as well in the Standley Bros Hot Rods #25. Heat Race competition saw Jennifer Osborne pick up her first heat win of the season. Rylinn Renaud also picked up a heat race victory, his 2nd of the season.

With both Chance Grasty and Preston Carr moving up to the 250 Intermediate class among a few others, it opens the door in the Box Stock Class for the next generation of drivers to begin making a name for themselves. Keep your eye on this class as this is where the future of our sport currently resides. These drivers will all be fun to watch over the coming years.

We will be back in action at the Cycleland Speedway on Saturday April 29th for Points Race #3 of the 2017 race season. Cars are scheduled to hit the track for Hot Laps at 4:30 P.M. For ticket information and/or directions to the racetrack please visit our website at www.cyclelandspeedway.com.
